Smugglers 4x4 Route

Smugglers' route in 4x4 through the Tor Mountains.

The meeting point will be at the hotel reception or at the municipal car park in the village of Pal. We head towards Port de Cabús (2,302m). There we start the 4x4 forest track along smugglers' paths, a route known for its history, as it was used for many years to smuggle tobacco into Spain. On the route we will have several stops to be able to observe. We will arrive at the crossroads of Montané where we will enjoy the views that the area offers and we will stop for a 10 minute walk to the Llumeneres Peak from where we will be able to observe the two valleys of Montané and Sansa. The whole route runs through forests and high mountain paths where we can often observe the fauna of the area, deer, foxes, eagles... We will cross the river twice where there are always meadows with herds of cows and horses. The return will be by the Montané path where we will stop to visit the shepherds' refuge. *It is important to present an identity document to carry out the activity.
