How to get to Andorra?

By bus

The bus is another popular option for reaching Andorra, especially for those who prefer public transportation. Several bus companies offer services from cities in Spain and France to Andorra la Vella and other locations in the Principality. These buses usually offer regular and comfortable routes, allowing you to reach Andorra easily and affordably.

Among the most prominent bus companies are ALSA, Andbus, Directbus, Camino Bus, and others. These companies offer routes from Spanish cities like Barcelona, Madrid, and Valencia, as well as from French cities like Toulouse and Perpignan. Some companies also offer international services from cities like Paris and Marseille.

By car

Driving to Andorra is the most popular option, as it only has road access. From Spain, you can reach Andorra via the national road N-145, which crosses the border at Port de la Bonaigua in the province of Lleida. From France, the main road is the N-22, which connects to Andorra through the Port d'Envalira, offering an impressive journey through the Pyrenees.

Additionally, from Spain, you can also access Andorra via the CG-1 road, which connects the Catalan city of La Seu d’Urgell with Andorra la Vella. From France, the D-22 road takes you from the French town of Ax-les-Thermes to the Principality.

By train

If you prefer to travel by train, you have the option of reaching Andorra through nearby train stations in Spain or France. Although there are no train stations in Andorra, you can take a train to stations such as L'Hospitalet-près-l'Andorre in France, located about 11 kilometers by road from the border, or the Lleida-Pirineus station in Spain, which receives high-speed trains (AVE), mainly from Madrid and Barcelona. From there, you can continue your journey by bus, taxi, or VTC to Andorra.

This is an ideal option for those who enjoy rail travel and are looking for a relaxed way to travel before reaching their destination.

By plane

For international travelers, flying to Andorra is a convenient option. Although Andorra does not have its own airport, you can fly to nearby airports in cities like Barcelona or Toulouse. However, an even closer option is the Andorra-La Seu (LEU) airport, located in La Seu d’Urgell, just about 12 kilometers from Andorra la Vella.

This airport offers connections to various Spanish and European cities through charter flights and general aviation services. From the airport, you can take a bus, a shuttle service (taxi or VTC), or rent a car to easily reach Andorra. Private flights are also available at the Andorra-La Seu airport.
