Experience the thrill of a hot air balloon ride over La Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park, one of the most fascinating dormant volcanic areas in Europe. Flying in a hot air balloon is a different way of traveling, it is floating in the air, in calm and silence. Feel the sensation of absolute freedom, serenity and adventurous spirit. Ideal for nature lovers and for people looking for new sensations, such as contemplating the landscape from a bird's eye view with a 360º panorama. On clear days, we can observe Montserrat, the Mediterranean Sea, Pedraforca, Canigó, Montseny... Always with the Pyrenees in the background and the volcanoes under our feet. The activity begins early in the morning (between 6:30 am and 8 am, depending on the time of year). This is the time when the atmosphere is colder and more stable and the wind calmer. We are at the Vol de Coloms facilities, next to the Croscat volcano, where we have the take-off field. You can have a coffee and eat some pastries before flying in a balloon, while you observe, take photographs or help us prepare the balloon. All our baskets have a door, therefore they are accessible to all types of public. The wind sets the course of our balloon flight, which lasts between 1h and 1h 30 minutes approximately. During the trip we toast with rosé cava, which symbolizes the color of the volcanic earth and taste coca de llardons. Once we have landed, we go together to have a good farmer's breakfast with bread with tomato and sausage, Santa Pau beans with botifarra, desserts from the Cooperativa la Fageda, wine, ratafia and coffee. To end the adventure we give you a flight certificate signed by the pilot.

Our Walking Tour begins at the Pont de la Tosca, recently renovated, where, together with the sculpture Water and Form and the Font del Metge, you can observe the steam produced by the thermal water. Afterwards, we will visit the exteriors of the Carlemany and Valira hotels, with their granite constructions. We will also see the Plaça Santa Anna Bridge and the church of Sant Pere Màrtir. We will then head towards the old town of Escaldes and walk along the river path until we reach the Escaldes Town Hall. Finally, you will see Caldea from the outside and, subject to availability, you can purchase entry to the most important thermal center in the country without waiting in line. With this walking tour you will understand the importance of thermal waters for the growth of tourism in the parish. You will also see the importance of granite in the country.

Una vez en el centro, podéis hacer uso del aparcamiento para aparcar vuestro vehículo de manera completamente gratuita. Lo primero que debéis hacer es presentaros en la recepción de nuestro centro, que encontraréis en la yurta de color beige situada cerca de la misma zona de aparcamiento, identificable con unos arcos inflables gigantes con los logos de ROCROI Y GRANDVALIRA. En oficinas os confirmaremos vuestra reserva y la persona de recepción os dará las indicaciones necesarias antes de iniciar la actividad; nuestro recinto de actividades es grande, por lo que deberéis estar atentos en todo momento a las indicaciones del personal de oficinas y/o monitores. Nuestra yurta será vuestro centro de información central o de encuentro. Recomendamos guardar las mochilas o prendas que no necesitéis en vuestro vehículo, pero también se pueden guardar en esta misma instalación. Una vez tengamos puesto el casco, el guía comenzará la explicación del funcionamiento de la moto de nieve y las normas de seguridad, iniciando a continuación la excursión. Será un recorrido adaptado a las necesidades del cliente, alternando claros y bosques cerrados de pino negro bajo la luz de la luna, lo que lo convierte en toda una aventura. A mitad del recorrido haremos una parada para que podáis admirar la belleza del paisaje nocturno y sentir la tranquilidad de la noche en las montañas nevadas. Aprovecharemos también para inmortalizar el momento y, en caso de que seáis dos ocupantes en una moto, es posible cambiar de piloto para que ambos disfrutéis de la sensación de conducción. Once we have put on the helmets, the guide will start explaining how the snowmobile works and the safety rules, and then the tour will begin. It will be a route adapted to the client's needs, alternating clearings and dense black pine forests under the moonlight, making it a true adventure. Halfway through the tour, we will stop so you can admire the beauty of the nighttime landscape and experience the tranquility of the night in the snow-covered mountains. We will also take the opportunity to capture the moment, and if you are two people on a snowmobile, you can switch drivers so that both of you enjoy the driving experience. Once you have put on your snowshoes, the explanation of how they work will begin and we will explain the itinerary as well as the necessary instructions to start the excursion. You will ascend to 2,400 m to the “Lac de Pessons” and the circles of interconnected lakes in the middle of the most representative peaks of the area surrounded by spectacular snow-capped black pine forests. You will be able to enjoy an itinerary adapted to your needs where you can make stops to explain the characteristics of the landscape, the most spectacular peaks, as well as the flora and fauna of the area. In addition, he will answer any questions or curiosities that may arise. The lake is in continuous variations which makes it even more attractive, it is sometimes possible to walk on the frozen surface.
