As someone who lives in the Principality and crosses Escaldes daily, I assure you that Caldea's glass silhouette remains the unbeatable icon of our skyline. No matter how many times I pass by, that 80-meter tower always impresses.

If you are planning your getaway, the first thing is to organize your budget. That's why I've compiled everything you need to know about Caldea Andorra: prices 2026, ticket types, and the best tricks to book without overpaying (believe me, going with children is not the same as going as a couple).

Here's my user manual to enjoy the thermoludic experience like a local and not just another tourist.

What is Caldea? Choose your ideal zone

Many people make the mistake of thinking that Caldea is just "a big pool". Nothing could be further from the truth. It is the largest thermal spa in Southern Europe and is divided into very different "worlds". Before looking at prices, decide which is your tribe:

  • The Thermoludic: It's the life of the party. If you're looking for the famous large indoor lagoon, hydromassage cups, and going out to the outdoor lagoon to feel that brutal contrast of the Pyrenean cold with water at 32°C - 34°C, this is your place. Ideal for families and groups of friends.

  • Inúu (Adults Only): This is where locals come when we want silence. If you come as a couple and are looking for peace, pay the extra. The stainless steel lagoons and the wellness atmosphere are another level. Additionally, it includes access to the Thermoludic.

  • Origins and Likids: Origins offers themed baths (Aztec, grapefruit...) and Likids is the exclusive spa for children aged 3 to 8. Here, the monitors take care of everything while you disconnect.

Where to stay: The best hotels near Caldea

For a perfect experience, location is key. If you come to enjoy the water, stay in Escaldes-Engordany. Being able to leave the spa relaxed, with your body floating, and reach your room walking in 5 minutes is priceless.

If you are looking for specific options for hotels in Escaldes-Engordany near Caldea, these are my three personal recommendations based on location and quality:

Hotel Yomo Mola Park 4*

Fachada del hotel Yomo Mola Park a 30 segundos de distancia de caldea

It's literally across the street. You just have to cross the road. It's the most convenient option if you don't want to move your car.

  • Ideal for: Practical couples and families.

2. Hotel Delfos 4*

A landmark hotel in Escaldes, just a 5-minute walk from Caldea. It is known for its excellent service and spacious rooms.

  • Ideal for: Families who want to be a step away from the water and the shops.

3. Hotel Yomo Eureka 4*

Right in the commercial hub, perfect if you want to combine bathing with an afternoon of shopping. Very familiar and friendly service.

  • Ideal for: A central and functional stay.

Must-see facilities: The expert's route

Beyond the photo in the central lagoon, there are spots you can't miss:

  1. Indo-Roman Baths: My favorite. First you get into the 36°C water and then, without thinking, into the 14°C cold water pool. The thermal shock instantly reactivates circulation. You come out feeling new.
  2. Icelandic Bath: Ice and cold water to tone. Only for the brave.
  3. The Outdoor Lagoon: Caldea's landmark. If you're lucky and it snows while you're in the hot water, you'll experience one of the most magical moments in the Pyrenees.
  4. Sauna with soft light: Perfect for eliminating toxins before showering and going to dinner.

Opening hours and the night show 2026

Caldea is open almost 365 days a year.

  • Standard hours: 10:00h to 22:00h.
  • Extended hours: Until midnight on key dates (August, winter).

The night show: In 2026, the show has leveled up with new laser projections and live music (sometimes electronic violin, sometimes acrobatics). If you have an evening/night ticket, make sure you are in the central lagoon at the designated time. It's the moment when Caldea "shows off".

5 Local Tips to avoid queues and mistakes

I've been going for years and have learned a couple of tricks that tourists often overlook:

  1. The "magic hour": Everyone goes from 17:00h onwards, when the slopes close. Do you want the spa to yourself? Go at 14:00h or 15:00h. It's lunchtime in Andorra and the lagoons empty out.
  2. The towel trick: In the Thermoludic, towel and bathrobe rental is paid separately (about 5-10€ extra). Bring your own from home and save that money for dinner. (In Inúu it is included).
  3. Dinner in swimwear: The Mediterranean restaurant within the complex allows you to dine in a bathrobe. It's a curious and very comfortable feeling after your swim.
  4. Jewelry off: Thermal water contains sulfur. If you go in with silver, it will turn black. Leave everything in the locker or the hotel's safe.
  5. Smart parking: The building's parking is convenient but expensive and fills up quickly. You have communal (public) car parks very close by, such as the one in the Fener area or Av. Fiter i Rossell, which are excellent alternatives.

If you need to move around the area and haven't brought a car, remember that there are good options for taxis and mobility to get between your hotel and the spa.

Plan your complete trip

Caldea is usually the main attraction, but Andorra has much more. To make your trip complete, I suggest visiting our plan your trip section to organize the logistics.

  • Gastronomy: After the spa you'll be hungry. Take a look at the best restaurants in Andorra to book a table near Escaldes.
  • Shopping: You are in the golden mile. Take the opportunity to visit the shops and stores before entering the water.
  • Connectivity: Don't stay disconnected. If you come from outside the EU, check the options for eSIM and internet to avoid roaming.

If you are looking for additional inspiration on what to do, we have detailed guides for each day of your stay.
